Experience El Valle

You didn’t come this far to stop.

Turtles

El Valle has four main turtle species that lay their eggs year round. Every night you will have the opportunity to release turtles out into the wild.

When turtles are young they have many predators. Dogs, jaguars, fish, birds, they are attacked on all sides.

We protect the eggs until they are hatched and then release them into the ocean. This increases their chance of survival from 1% to 10%. You can be part of our conservation effort.

Whales

Whale watching in Colombia's Pacific Coast is a special experience. Humpback whales come here to breed and give birth. This is an experience that is special to the Chocó region. Whale watching tours are available from June to September.

Birds

Colombia is home to the largest amount of bird species in the world. Chocó has over 50 endemic species, so if you are an avid birder this place is not to be missed! Chocó is one of the wettest regions in the world which makes it unmatched in biodiversity! You can see the birds in the mangroves, Utria National Park, and by the Pacific Coast.
